Sunday, January 29 the message is “The Power of Letting Go.”
A healthy state of mind is attained when the thinker willingly lets go the old thoughts and takes on the new. — Charles Fillmore
These words of Charles Fillmore are especially relevant when considering how to get what we want from life. We do not need to accumulate more knowledge or receive something more. But we do have to become willing to let go of the faulty information we have been using to navigate through our life.
Our current lesson series is based on Rev. J. Douglas Bottorff’s new book, Native Soul: Unlocking your Life’s Potential, available in our Book Nook.
Stone Soup Family Game Night, Friday, January 27, 7pm – 11pm.
Bring some veggies to add to the soup pot and/or a side dish or dessert to share, and enjoy a night of family fun. Share our homemade “Stone Soup,” play games, and enjoy good company.
Share the Wealth! Every day in the Miami Valley men, women, and children go hungry. But you can help—and it’s so easy! Just bring in one can of non-perishable food per person each Sunday, and deposit it in the large barrel in the lobby. Once the barrel is full, we’ll take the donations to the food pantry. Will you help us make a difference?
